RedRover has joined up with The Deadly Link, a new investigative documentary on the connection between animal abuse and domestic violence. The documentary is meant to educate police officers, social service providers, veterinarians and other investigators about the connection on different forms of abuse and help them work together to stop it. In July 2014, RedRover assisted the Cherokee County Animal Shelter with the sheltering and care of more than 350 dogs rescued from a suspected Georgia puppy mill. We want to say thank you to all our RedRover Responders volunteers and generous supporters for making this deployment possible!
When Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans on August 29, 2005, thousands of human and animal lives were changed forever. Through Katrina, one of the largest natural disasters in world history, we saw some of the greatest stories of animal survival.
In January 2013, RedRover Responders volunteers deployed the Silver Springs area in Florida at the request of the Forest Animal Rescue by Peace River Refuge & Ranch to help with the relocation of over 130 animals from the wildlife sanctuary. Watch the video and see how RedRover Responders volunteers helped these magnificent animals!
Thomas the cat is lucky to that there are people like Tracy in the world. Thomas, a handsome grey cat with bright green eyes, was left to fend for himself in the outside world when his previous owners moved away. Not only did they leave social, friendly Thomas outside, they gave him little chance of survival.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the sudden passing of David Middlesworth, one of RedRover’s Board of Directors, on Tuesday, July 29, 2014. David was a celebrated animal advocate who served as RedRover’s Board Chair for many years and was the founder of V-dog, a plant-based dog food company. Please join us in sending our condolences to Linda Middlesworth, his loving wife and best friend of 51 years, and their family and friends. He will be remembered for his kindness, compassion, sense of humor and warm smile.
