PHOTOS: RedRover Responders cared for more than 350 puppy mill dogs

In July 2014, RedRover assisted the Cherokee County Animal Shelter with the sheltering and care of more than 350 dogs rescued from a suspected Georgia puppy mill. We want to say thank you to all our RedRover Responders volunteers and generous supporters for making this deployment possible!

A week apart: from workshop to deployment

Newly trained volunteers often ask, “How long will it be before I receive a deployment request?” Well, for six newly trained volunteers, the answer was: five days! On July 12, RedRover held a training workshop in Kennesaw, Georgia, and then just five days later, we received a deployment request from officials in Cherokee County, one county over from the workshop location. Six of the volunteers who had attended the workshop signed up to help.
