Elementary school students get a new RedRover Readers room

Students and teachers at Golden Empire Elementary School in Sacramento, California, have reason to smile these days: They now have a classroom transformed into a place for students to participate in the RedRover Readers program. Golden Empire Elementary has fully adopted the RedRover Readers program and uses it to promote positive relationship skills on campus.

How empathy keeps me going

I know it can be frustrating to see other people’s lack of concern for animals. It’s easy to have reactions like, “Don’t they get it!?” or “Why can’t they see that an animal has feelings?” In essence, Why doesn’t that person have empathy for animals?
