From Calaveras Humane Society: Animal evacuation emergency info:
Animals – If you evacuated with your dogs, cats or any other pets due to the fire, make sure you have the essentials with you, e.g. food, water and any medication that your pet might need. Documents showing ownership and/or most recent vaccinations are also very helpful. For more information on how to be prepared read the Prepare a Disaster Kit.
If you have nowhere to take your pet, you may take him or her to the Calaveras County Animal Shelter located at 901 Jeff Tuttle Road, San Andreas and then go to one of the American Red Cross Shelters or evacuation centers. If your pet requires veterinary care, please go directly to your veterinary clinic. Animal Services does not have a veterinarian on staff.
