The Deadly Link: a documentary

RedRover has joined up with The Deadly Link, a new investigative documentary on the connection between animal abuse and domestic violence. The documentary is meant to educate police officers, social service providers, veterinarians and other investigators about the connection on different forms of abuse and help them work together to stop it. PHOTOS: RedRover Responders cared for more than 350 puppy mill dogs

In July 2014, RedRover assisted the Cherokee County Animal Shelter with the sheltering and care of more than 350 dogs rescued from a suspected Georgia puppy mill. We want to say thank you to all our RedRover Responders volunteers and generous supporters for making this deployment possible!

Animal abuse is a horrible crime, but did you know that its discovery can help investigators uncover further abuse in the home? When animal abuse occurs, it can be an indicator that some sort of human abuse (domestic violence, child abuse, elder abuse) may be taking place as well. This is “the link.”
