After all Michael had been through, he couldn’t imagine losing his friend Boo Boo, a therapy rabbit. As an Army veteran and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) sufferer, Michael depends on Boo Boo for help through tough times. “Boo Boo was given to me as part of a veteran program to help with PTSD,” Michael said. “He is house-trained and is with me 24 hours a day.

RedRover Responders volunteers deployed to Arkansas, to assist The Humane Society of the United States in caring for over 180 animals found living in neglectful conditions on a Jefferson County property.
With over 3,000 trained and active RedRover Responders volunteers, it takes a special kind of person to stand out as a leader. RedRover is able to bring animals out of crisis and into care through our network of RedRover Responders volunteers available on a moment’s notice to deploy. One of those volunteers is Paula Redinger who first deployed with us in 2003 to help the animal victims of the Southern California fires.

These were the words of Emergency Services Manager, Beth Gammie, the night before over 180 animals were seized from a suspected puppy mill in Jefferson County, Arkansas. Last week, RedRover assisted the Humane Society of the United States and the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office along with various other volunteer groups in the rescue and care of the 121 dogs, 11 exotic birds, 19 chickens, 20 horses and multiple cats, rabbits and turtles that were removed from the Jefferson County property.
Since last week, RedRover has been assisting The Humane Society of the United States to shelter and care for 183 animals who were rescued from a suspected puppy mill in Jefferson County, Arkansas. Watch the video report below from KATV 7:
