“Cool Crew” member launches lifesaving campaign

Paola Potts first became involved with RedRover about three years ago. As a person who is extremely sensitive to heat, she began noticing that dogs were often being left unattended in parked cars. Through research, Paola discovered the My Dog Is Cool (MDIC) website, and started distributing MDIC fliers, posters and copies of the California law to the public. Paola wanted to take it a step further, though, and in 2012, she developed a parking lot sign campaign.

Gargamel needs your help

Gargamel, a two-year-old American bulldog, is one of several dogs who were recently rescued from an unlicensed kennel in Placerville, California. Gargamel had been living in unsanitary conditions for several months. He weighed only 65 pounds, half the weight for a healthy dog his age.

Hundreds of dogs, enough love to go around

At a temporary shelter in the southeastern United States, hundreds of dogs are receiving loving care and medical attention, perhaps for the first time in their lives, after their rescue from the second largest criminal dogfighting ring in the history of the United States.

Such a high-profile criminal case requires extreme discretion by everyone involved, including the seven RedRover Responders volunteers who were asked to deploy to the temporary shelter managed by the ASPCA.
