Fish friends mean comfort for family in domestic violence shelter

Christina is a domestic violence survivor. She suffered abuse in her home at the hands of her partner, fearing for her own life and the life of her five-year-old son, Damien.

When Christina made the difficult decision to escape her abuser, she knew she would need support to get her whole family out safely.

"Nothing short of a miracle"

A military family from Georgia wrote to RedRover recently and needed our help. Their little three-year-old Shih Tzu, Ginger, had a massive bladder stone and the family couldn’t afford to pay for her surgery. “We are a military family and recently lost our home,”  Elizabeth, mother of three, told us. “We are in the process of getting back on our feet but cannot afford an expensive surgery for Ginger.”

Happy Ending: Raven

After learning from a co-worker that a puppy in her neighborhood was being abused and neglected, Jordan, a long-time animal lover, stepped up and offered to rescue the three-month-old Labrador mix puppy. She named her Raven, and knowing she needed medical attention, Jordan immediately took little Raven to a veterinarian for a check-up.

Oreo’s sweet tooth got him into trouble

Even service dogs need help, too

Sarge is a service dog who provides emotional and physical support to Joshua, a disabled veteran who served in Afghanistan.  When an accident left Sarge’s tail badly injured and in need of surgery, Sarge was now the one in need of support.
