Earlier in 2014, RedRover Responders volunteers deployed to Preston County, West Virginia, to help dogs rescued from an alleged puppy mill. Volunteers set up and maintained the temporary shelter, caring for the dogs while helping the local community.
Animal abuse is a horrible crime, but did you know that its discovery can help investigators uncover further abuse in the home? When animal abuse occurs, it can be an indicator that some sort of human abuse (domestic violence, child abuse, elder abuse) may be taking place as well. This is “the link.”
