‘Surprise’ puppy gets to be a real puppy again!

Ellie Mae is an adorable beagle pup who was rescued from a very bad situation when she was only 10 weeks old. Her rescuers saw how she was being neglected and abused, and convinced the owners to give them Ellie Mae. They contacted their granddaughter, Danyelle, to see if she’d be willing to bring Ellie Mae into her home, and she said yes!

10 years after Katrina, RedRover Responders prepares for pets in disasters

Beth Gammie, RedRover’s Emergency Services Manager, is at the Emergency Response bootcamp this week in Gonzales, Louisiana. Ten years after Hurricane Katrina, animal emergency response groups are coming together to train responding personnel about animal rescue and care in the aftermath of a natural disaster.
