April is National Animal Cruelty Prevention Month, and while you protect animals every day of the year, we’re sharing a few more ways you can show compassion and kindness to animals this month and far into the future.
- Create a peer-to-peer fundraiser supporting RedRover’s lifesaving programs. Ask your friends, family, and colleagues to join you in preventing cruelty and showing kindness by raising money to bring animals from crisis to care.
- Join the 25 by 2025 movement. The link between domestic violence and animal cruelty is clear, and we’re advocating for more pet-friendly domestic violence shelters so survivors and their pets can escape abuse together.
- Become a RedRover Responders volunteer. Be the one to comfort and care for animals rescued from large-scale cruelty and neglect.
- Become a RedRover Readers volunteer. Teach children the skills needed for empathy, and inspire them in their abilities to prevent cruelty and make a real difference for animals.
- Sponsor a local classroom with Kind News™ magazine. Kindness is fun with this colorful, activity-filled magazine that teaches children about animal behavior, how to advocate for them, and future careers in the animal welfare field.
However you choose to observe National Animal Cruelty Prevention Month, we appreciate your commitment to protecting animals and treating them with the kindness they deserve. Thank you for being a part of our compassionate community!
