How does RedRover bring animals out of crisis and into care?Through people like you who choose to make a difference! RedRover is honored to have so many caring people support our work, like Travis Adlington. Travis began donating to RedRover in 2008 when we sheltered dogs who were rescued from severe neglect in Gabbs, Nevada. Travis is a monthly donor, an On-Call Angel and a Legacy Partner, and we are inspired by his commitment to helping animals.
Q: What does RedRover’s mission mean to you?
A: I love grassroots organizations that are almost all volunteerbased where people are really involved with helping animals. RedRover Responders volunteers see animal situations that people can’t even think about it, let alone go in to help. It takes guts and passion to deal with hoarding, disasters and puppy mills. I really respect you for that.
Q: Travis, are you involved with animals in your community?
A: My wife and I are involved with many groups and volunteer our time. We’re happy being grunts. I just want to spend time with the animals! We also founded our own nonprofit called Capable Canines that helps paralyzed, disabled and elderly dogs with mobility and incontinence issues. We have a rescue dog of our own who had a stroke three years ago. He’s paralyzed so we learned how to help him and he has a really good life.
