Nicole Forsyth
President and CEO

As President and CEO, Nicole Forsyth leads the RedRover team and loves thinking strategically, innovating, imagining and keeping RedRover constantly vigilant for ways to improve the lives of animals far into the future. She holds Master’s degrees in Communication and Animal Biology, with a welfare focus, and a Bachelor’s degree in English and Education.

She has two dogs, Gertie and Jasper, one cat, Milo, and is excited to be adding chickens to the family soon!

Beth Gammie
Director of Field Services

Beth Gammie is RedRover's Director of Field Services. In this position, Beth leads the RedRover Responders program by monitoring disasters and other emergencies for deployment, managing requests for our assistance and serving as our Team Leader in the field when animals are in crisis.

Prior to this position, Beth volunteered with RedRover and other animal welfare groups in Florida and Arizona. Beth shares her home with (and is staff to) her five cats.

Karly Noel
Director of Education and Outreach

Karly Noel is RedRover’s Director of Education and Outreach. She brings her enthusiasm for learning, teaching and training to the RedRover Readers program and professional development training. She is on RedRover’s Caring Committee and is committed to fostering a caring and uplifting office culture (just ask her dog, Louie, who accompanies her most days to the office).

Karly holds a Bachelor’s degree in Child Development and a Master’s degree in Education from California State University, Sacramento. Karly is a Certified Humane Education Specialist (CHES) and is on the Board of Directors of the Association of Professional Humane Educators (APHE).

Susie Robert
Director of Programs

Susie Robert is the Director of Programs. Susie supports RedRover through managing the RedRover Relief and RedRover Responders programs and overseeing the coordination of RedRover's volunteer response to emergency situations.

Susie earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology from the University of Edinburgh, and her Master’s in Animal Biology/Welfare from the University of California, Davis. She previously spent four years working for Santa Barbara County Animal Services. She has the privilege of sharing her home with her three cats, Mungo, Geoffrey and Pippa.

Erin Bialecki
Membership and Development Manager

As the Membership and Development Manager at RedRover, Erin Bialecki manages the transactional aspects of the donor experience and supports the team in raising funds that grow RedRover’s programs and operations through grant writing, direct mail and donor cultivation.

She has volunteered for Coalition 4 Community Cats managing a feral cat colony and helping care for cats at the weekly spay/neuter clinics, and is currently a cat and kitten foster parent through the Sacramento County Animal Shelter. Erin shares her home with four formerly-feral cats.

Jennifer Day
Database and Technology Specialist

Previously a Director of Administration at a charitable endowment fund, Jen specialized in management of technical systems, program development and business operations. A Salesforce Certified Administrator, she sees her work at RedRover as a wonderful opportunity to fuse her love of animals with her knack for problem-solving and streamlining concepts.

Jennifer earned a History degree in London and speaks two languages: English and Cat. Her interests include traveling, hiking, motorcycles, and goofy game nights with friends.

Sheri Madsen
Public Relations Specialist

Sheri Madsen is RedRover's Public Relations Specialist. She has combined her love for animals with communications to help expand awareness and build compassion around the diverse programs and services that RedRover offers.

Sheri earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies from California State University, Sacramento. She spends her spare time with her enthusiastic rescue Labrador named Oscar, exploring nearby trails and outdoor patios, playing softball, camping and basically anything outdoors.

Casey Slagerman
Accounting and Administrative Manager

Casey Slagerman is RedRover’s Accounting and Administrative Manager. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in English with a minor in Animal Science from the University of California, Davis. Her love for accounting comes from a long history of working with numbers and is just as strong as her affinity for languages and animals!  

Casey enjoys attending concerts, exercising and traveling with her 10-year-old cat named Odie, who’s been hitting the road with her since he was 5 weeks old. Their favorite place visit is Lake Tahoe, where Casey can ski and Odie can nap by the fire.

Rachel Stevens
Program Manager

Rachel is the Program Manager for RedRover. She supports the RedRover Relief, RedRover Responders and RedRover Readers programs while demonstrating the caring, vigilant and unwavering attributes of RedRover’s brand. Rachel earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science from the University of California, Davis. She has volunteered for local animal shelters, and recently adopted a yellow Labrador retriever named Charlie.

Keleigh Friedrich
Communications Coordinator II

As RedRover's Communications Coordinator II, Keleigh marries her love of storytelling and design with her lifelong compassion for animals. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of California, Berkeley, and her Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Mills College.

Keleigh has served for the last decade on the volunteer team with the Awareness Institute, a nonprofit organization focused on self-awareness. When she's not road-tripping in search of trail runs and hot springs, Keleigh can be found at home baking vegan treats, practicing yoga, pet-sitting other people's animals and tending to her brood of chickens.

Laurel Meleski
Program Coordinator II

Laurel Meleski is the Program Coordinator II working with RedRover Relief grant programs: Urgent Care, Safe Escape and Safe Housing. She has worked with animal-focused non-profit organizations for the last 11 years, nine of which have been with RedRover. She always knew that she wanted a vocation helping animals and feels that she has truly found her purpose working to preserve the bonds between people and their pets. The love and devotion that pet guardians show their pets are driving forces in her work toward helping animals heal and making sure that no one has to choose between safety and family.

Laurel has two rescue dogs, Bob and Ellie Mae, who bring joy and goofiness into her home. She enjoys spending her free time enjoying nature, reading and making art.

Katie Campbell
Outreach and Partnerships Coordinator

Katie Campbell is the Outreach and Partnerships Coordinator for RedRover. This position brings together her enthusiasm for community work with her love of animals. Katie is excited to be a part of RedRover and to support an organization that is dedicated to supporting the bond between animal and human.

When not at work, Katie enjoys anything outdoors and attempts to stay young by playing ultimate Frisbee, hiking and running. She also enjoys reading, gardening and staying in for movies, game nights and family dinners with the human and the four-legged members of the family!

Tara Lenehan
Education Coordinator

Tara Lenehan is RedRover's Education Coordinator. In this position, Tara facilitates learning and training of the RedRover Readers program which helps children develop empathy and critical thinking skills through stories and discussion that explore the bond between animals and people. Her role at RedRover has given her the opportunity to utilize her passion for teaching while helping children discover tools to build strong self-esteem and positive thinking skills.

Tara earned her Bachelor's degree in Communication with a minor in the University Writing Program from UC Davis. When she's not working or traveling, she loves to snowboard, sing karaoke and explore her love of photography. She shares her home with her two cats, Bud and Bagheera and her goofy dog, ZoZo.

Amelia Saris
Project Coordinator

Amelia Saris is RedRover's Project Coordinator. In this role, she assists in the day-to-day operations of specific projects, streamlines procedures and builds relationships with community members, donors and vendors to support RedRover's outreach efforts and promote empathy. As a RedRover Readers team member, Amelia gets the opportunity to weave her passion for education into her work to strive towards a more humane society for animals and people.

Amelia holds a Master's degree in Education and is currently completing her Certified Humane Education Specialist credential. She has held various roles in the education field in the past 12 years and has been part of the nonprofit world for the last three years. In her free time, she loves listening to music and spending time outside with her husband and rescue terrier mix, Henry.

Jessica Hintz
Program Assistant

Jessica is a Program Assistant for RedRover. She is a case manager on the RedRover Relief team and assists with the RedRover Responders program by organizing information and materials for our wonderful volunteers.

Jessica is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science with a concentration in Fish and Wildlife Management, which she hopes will further her love and understanding for all animals! She has volunteered with the Folsom City Zoo and Sanctuary and is a supporter of the Sierra Club and the Humane Society of the United States. Jessica’s animal family consists of two large cats (King Louie and Bootsie) and her dog, Boady. When she isn’t working or going to school, she enjoys camping, hiking, and traveling.

Nicolette Thayer
Membership Assistant

Nicolette Thayer is RedRover's Membership Assistant. She brings her enthusiasm for non-profit animal welfare to this role to help animals and their people live long, healthy, and happy lives together. Originally from South Lake Tahoe, Nicolette has gained experience through volunteering and working for Sacramento area animal shelters. She truly believes that we can make positive changes in the lives of animals and people – it isn't just a goal, it's our responsibility.

Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her husband and their two cats, Kiki and Akira. She also enjoys going to concerts, movies, and spending time with family and friends. She loves exploring and hiking in the Sierras, Yosemite, and along the California coast.

Minhhan Lam
Program Assistant

Minhhan is RedRover's Program Assistant. She is continuously nurturing a long-term love for animals, having come from the Sacramento S.P.C.A. and William R. Pritchard's Veterinary Teaching Hospital. When she's not working or in school, you can find her at the California Raptor Center helping care for injured and orphaned birds of prey.

Minhhan's fur family consists of (but are not limited to) her dog, Shizu, and cat, Spock. When outside she enjoys: exploring new terrain, hiking, backpacking, kayaking, geocaching and film photography. When inside: yoga, baking, writing and cuddling with the pets over a movie.
