RedRover headed back to West Monroe for the second time in 2025 to partner with our friends PAWS of Northeast Louisiana for an early November pet wellness and supply clinic. Both of our organizations teamed up to help 691 dogs and cats over two days, making this deployment our highest number of pets helped in a single wellness clinic to date.
We provided 1,323 vaccinations, 596 identification tags, as well as flea/tick medications, beds, and toys. Every vaccine, medication, and supplies given were FREE thanks to the incredible support of Petco Love and BISSELL Pet Foundation. Additionally, because of a special sponsorship from Tito’s Handmade Vodka, the Vodka for Dog People, we were also able to provide a total of 162 free spay and neuter vouchers.
The highlight of this deployment was being able to meet so many amazing pet parents in the community. I loved being introduced to everyone’s pets and getting to listen to stories about what makes their dogs and cats special. Hearing about pets’ quirky personalities and funny memories was an absolute delight and proved that pets are members of the family.
I also appreciated seeing how many pet parents brought their human family members along for the ride, including children, grandparents, siblings, and spouses. Seeing families come together to support pets was heartwarming and contributed to this being an excellent experience for staff and volunteers on-site, many of whom brought their family members to help as well.
We know that veterinary care is important, but without access to resources, it can be difficult for pet parents to secure the care their animals need. Cost, location, availability, and other concerns are all barriers to pets receiving veterinary services. At RedRover, one of the ways that we help decrease barriers is by partnering with local organizations that are dedicated to supporting pets and their people, such as PAWS of Northeast Louisiana, which has provided assistance and care to their community for over two decades.
Stay tuned! We look forward to returning to Northeast Louisiana in 2026 for another fun-filled collaboration helping pets with PAWS of NE LA.
