You may know that Kind News is our animal-themed magazine for kids, with fun activities, inspiring rescue stories, and helpful pet care tips meant to inspire kindness to animals in the younger generation. But did you know we have generous sponsors around the country, many of which are nonprofits themselves, who diligently fundraise to bring the magazine to their communities year after year?
We are so excited to welcome some new sponsors this year, as well as a few who are coming back to us, including:
“Humane education is a strategic intervention that will capture the hearts and minds of kids to engage them with our cause,” the foundation wrote on their LinkedIn page. “The world needs more kindness. Planting seeds of empathy in the minds of children today will empower them as they grow into veterinarians, adoption counselors, dog trainers, and more.”
Humane Society, Tennessee Valley has also joined us as a new sponsor this year. Reports Hannah Joyner, their Community Relations and Digital Content Manager, “As the first animal shelter in the state of Tennessee, Humane Society, Tennessee Valley takes pride in being a resource not only for homeless animals in need, but for the people in our community as well! Having educational tools to teach our neighbors how to best care for pets supports our mission of keeping animals with their families and out of shelters. Kind News magazines have also proven to be a great tool for us to get our younger volunteers engaged and excited about helping those in need!”
Sponsors returning to bring Kind News back to their communities also chimed in. Tom DeLadurantey, Executive Director of the Humane Society of Jefferson County, told us, “The Humane Society of Jefferson County (HSJC) is overjoyed to partner with Kind News in nurturing compassion, empathy, and kindness in the hearts of young learners. Together, we are committed to fostering a more loving and humane community by inspiring students, one classroom at a time, to embrace values of care and respect for all living beings.”
Rome Floyd Humane Society is also excited to bring Kind News back to their area this year. President Lynne Griffin noted, “[Kind News] is a very important part of educating our community, since we have an extreme overpopulation of homeless animals.”
Together, these amazing groups are bringing the magazine to over 3,000 children in classrooms around the country, making it possible for that many more children to develop respect and appreciation for animals!
