Gabbie was one of Clarissa’s three beloved cats, providing companionship and love to Clarissa and her husband. When Clarissa noticed growths on the ten-year-old tabby’s stomach, she knew Gabbie would need vet care, but wasn’t sure how they would be able to pay for it. After her husband had suffered a heart attack, the family’s savings had been depleted, forcing them to apply for bankruptcy that same year.
After their vet confirmed that Gabbie would require surgery to remove the growths, Clarissa sprung into action to find funding for the procedure. She started a fundraiser and began applying to grants, including the RedRover Relief Urgent Care grant. When she was approved, Gabbie underwent surgery to remove the growths and returned home to recover with her family and feline siblings.
Thank you for keeping pets like Gabbie with the people who love them!
