Five Deployments in Five Weeks – RedRover Responders On Duty

It’s been a busy start to 2025 for the RedRover Responders team with five deployments in five weeks! In just over a month, we have assisted more than 860 animals through a variety of different programs:
- Provided TNVR (Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return) to 185 community cats in Florida with Operation Catnip
- Supported families on the Navajo Nation in Arizona with the Parker Project through door-to-door vaccines, veterinary care, and spay/neuter surgery for 245 pets
- Built safe enclosures and improved the quality of life for 30 outdoor dogs in North Carolina
- Completed a free vaccine clinic in Alabama serving over 200 pets, and a spay/neuter clinic providing surgery for 59 as well as 61 additional s/n vouchers
- Partnered with Humane World for Animals, formerly called the Humane Society of the United States, to provide daily care for animals reduced from an alleged neglect case
Behind the scenes, our RedRover Responders staff was hard at work planning, coordinating with partners, ordering supplies, and scheduling volunteers – over 25 of them! The incredible organizations we work with were on the ground busy with door-to-door outreach, working with clients, and preparing for our arrival.
Along the way, we met wonderful families beyond grateful to receive support. On the Navajo Reservation we assisted not one, but two owners caring for over 15 animals each, bringing free vaccines and spay/neuter surgery directly to their door. In Florida we collaborated with over 20 separate caretakers working to provide for community cats, and in Alabama families brought over 200 pets and waited hours for free life-saving vaccines. The work requires long days, tons of logistical planning, and typically ends with sore feet and a full heart – we wouldn’t have it any other way!
