Beacon of Hope Center for Women, Inc., a domestic violence shelter in Indianapolis, Indiana, is committed to keeping families safe, including family members of furry nature.
Watch this video and see how this domestic violence shelter recognized the need for safe housing for pets, and found a way to help.
Here at RedRover, we’re determined to help victims by eliminating that horrible decision of choosing between their safety and the safety of their pets. Through our RedRover Safe Housing grant program, we’re helping domestic violence shelters build on-site housing for their clients’ pets. And you can help.
When a family escapes an abusive home and enters the unfamiliar surroundings of a domestic violence shelter, having their pet with them in their new place provides comfort, peace of mind, and the beginning of the healing process.
RedRover is looking to raise $12,000 to help more domestic violence shelters be able to say “yes” to victims when they need a safe place for their whole family – pets included. With your help, we can do it.
