In less than five minutes, this powerful video will make you a believer in having pet housing at domestic violence shelters. You’ll understand why we think it’s so important to preserve the amazing bond between people and animals.
In 2013, RedRover awarded the Rose Brooks Center with a Safe Housing grant to help create more housing for pets at their domestic violence shelter. This enables them to help save more animals like J. Matthew so that pets and their families can stay together.
When a victim chooses to escape their abuser and they have nowhere to take their pets, it forces them to make the decision between their own safety and the safety of their pets. We want to eliminate that heartwrenching choice for victims by creating housing for pets at domestic violence shelters in every state.
