American Veterinary Charitable Fund  Application must be submitted by veterinarian, grants are available to AVCF members only.
Bow Wow Buddies Foundation  Available to both individual pet owners and rescue groups/animal shelters for urgent veterinary care needs.
Brown Dog Foundation  National assistance with life-sustaining prescription medications, other assistance in IA, IL and TN only.

International Association of Assistance Dog Partners (IAADP)  Guide, hearing or service dogs. Application must be submitted by veterinarian, grants are available to IAADP members only.
Jameson Animal Rescue Ranch, Community Animal Assistance Program (CAAP)  Emergency medical attention and surgeries. Also have a senior assistance program in Napa Valley, and spay/neuter assistance in Napa, Sonoma, Solano, Mendocino, and Lake Counties.
The Mosby Foundation  NO EMERGENCY FUNDS. For dogs only.
The Murphee & Sugar Angel Foundation For critically ill or injured pets. May assist qualifying applicants with diagnostic work as well as treatment.

The Pet Fund Provides financial assistance for non-emergency veterinary care, up to $500 per applicant, for non-routine, necessary treatments.
Pets of the Homeless Provides pet food and veterinary care to the homeless and less fortunate in local communities across the United States and Canada.
Pit Bulls Against Misinformation  For dogs only, not breed specific.
RACE4RAN Provides transport services to help displaced animals find new homes and can also provide financial assistance for various medical needs on a case-by-case basis.
Red Flyer, The Handicapped Pets Community  Accepts used wheelchairs, refurbishes them and loans them at no charge to rescue groups with handicapped pets in need.
Semper Fi Fund Tim & Sandy Day Canine Companions The Semper Fi Fund provides immediate financial assistance and lifetime support to post 9/11 wounded, critically ill and injured members of all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces, and their families, ensuring that they have the resources they need during their recovery and transition back to their communities.
Tripawds Foundation Amputation Surgery Assistance Program (ASAP)

Emotional Support
In Defense of Animals: Animal Activist Helpline  Helps animal advocates deal with compassion fatigue, burnout, and secondary trauma caused by the tragedy-filled nature of their noble work. This is free, anonymous phone and e-counseling for activists, by activists.
