North Texas (June 5, 2019) – RedRover is on the ground June 4-12 to help Animal Investigation and Response (AIR) provide daily care and comfort for 89 cats and dogs seized, based on allegations of neglect.

RedRover has sent eight RedRover Responders volunteers to help care for these animals. The RedRover Responders volunteers traveled from Texas, Florida and Pennsylvania to assist with this case.

“RedRover Responders are a compassionate workforce dedicated to helping animals in crisis. We provide comfort to animals when they need it the most in the hope that they can find their forever homes,” said RedRover Director of Field Services, Beth Gammie.

With more than 4,000 trained volunteers in the United States and Canada, RedRover can deploy its volunteers quickly when communities become overburdened by a crisis involving large numbers of animals. In its 31-year history, RedRover has responded to more than 200 natural disasters and other crisis situations across the country, including Hurricanes Harvey, Katrina and Ike, the San Marcos floods and, sadly, many cruelty and neglect cases.
