Norah’s Bracelets Has Raised More Than $25,000 For Those in Need
Buffalo, New York (November 24, 2025) – Buffalo native Norah Kasprzyk was featured as Kind News magazine’s latest Humane Hero in their September/October issue! Kind News is a children’s magazine published by RedRover®, a national animal welfare nonprofit.
Norah’s kindness mission started at just six years old, when she signed up to read to animals at her local shelter. While she enjoyed reading to the animals, she knew she wanted to make an even bigger impact and raise money for the shelter, so she took advice from a friend to make bracelets to sell to support animals. Word of mouth spread, and the requests for custom bracelets for organizations and individuals fighting challenges started pouring in. She has made bracelets for dog rescues, Asha’s Farm Sanctuary, the Special Olympics, Susan G. Komen For the Cure, and many more.
Recently she heard about a sweet two-year-old cancer patient whose parents were seeking a float pool for their child to help reduce her pain and stress. Norah raised $800 – the parents were able to buy the pool for their toddler to bring her some relief, and use the rest of the money to go towards her medical treatments.
In the four years since she began her “Norah’s Bracelets for a Cause,” she estimates she has raised more than $25,000 for approximately 40 charities, animal rescues, and individuals in need!
When asked what advice she would share with others who would like to help animals and others in need, Norah said, “Don’t be embarrassed to go for your dreams. It will make a big difference.”
Norah shares her home with her family, including her sweet pit bull Carolina, two hermit crabs, two birds and one fish. When asked what she wants to be when she grows up, she said, “I want to be a veterinarian and open up my own animal shelter with my friends.”
“It’s so inspiring to know that children like Norah practice kindness towards two-legged and four-legged strangers in need,” said RedRover President and CEO Katie Campbell. “We hope her work inspires other young people to help others, and to continue to spread kindness throughout their communities.”
