Fall has arrived, and it's back to school time for RedRover Readers. Here are some exciting updates in the RedRover Readers program:

Last week, we told you about the 150+ animals rescued from a North Carolina property. The animals were living in unsafe and unsanitary conditions, and needed help. Because people like you support RedRover, we were able to send emergency volunteers to the temporary shelter to begin providing immediate daily care to the rescued animals.
When Julian, an eight-year-old boy from Sacramento, California, heard a story about a homeless cat in the RedRover Readers program, he was inspired by the caring people that adopt animals every day.

In February 2014, Lisa and some volunteers from an animal rescue group in California finally captured Savannah, a one-year-old yellow Labrador, on the side of the road after a week-long search and rescue effort. Savannah had been hit by a car and her leg was badly injured.
