fiscally responsible

Award Recognizes RedRover’s Exemplary Nonprofit Practices

Sacramento, CA – RedRover’s sound fiscal management practices and commitment to accountability and transparency have earned it a 4-star rating from Charity Navigator, America’s largest independent charity evaluator. This is the fourth consecutive time that RedRover has earned this top distinction.

Since 2001, Charity Navigator has awarded only the most fiscally responsible organizations a 4-star rating. Charity Navigator’s rating system examines two broad areas of a charity’s performance – their financial health and their accountability and transparency. The ratings show the public how efficiently a charity will use their support today, how well it has sustained its programs and services over time and their level of commitment to good governance, best practices and openness with information.

“Attaining a 4-star rating verifies that RedRover exceeds industry standards and outperforms most charities in your area of work, according to Michael Thatcher, President & CEO of Charity Navigator. “Only 21 percent of the charities we evaluate have received at least 3 consecutive 4-star evaluations, indicating that RedRover outperforms most other charities in America. This exceptional designation from Charity Navigator sets RedRover apart from its peers and demonstrates to the public its trustworthiness.”

“In our ongoing efforts to bring animals from crisis to care, we make sure we use our donations wisely to save more lives and bring more humane education into classrooms across the nation,” said RedRover President and CEO Nicole Forsyth. “Our 4-star Charity Navigator rating demonstrates our good governance, transparency and financial accountability.”
