Donations Doubled to Help More Animals in Crisis
Sacramento, California (November 23, 2021) – Charitable giving season is just around the corner. Giving Tuesday, November 30, is a special global event devoted to giving back, following Black Friday and Cyber Monday. This global day of kindness enables others to show their compassion by giving their time, funds or voice to a cause they are passionate about and want to support.
RedRover, a 501(3)(c) national animal welfare nonprofit based in Sacramento, is thrilled to announce they have received a $20,000 match from a generous donor – meaning every gift received is doubled for Giving Tuesday!
RedRover is passionate about bringing animals from crisis to care and strengthening the human-animal bond. Their programs provide emergency sheltering, disaster relief services, financial assistance and humane education across the United States and Canada.
This year, generous support has enabled the RedRover Responders program to help care for more than 2,500 animals so far, including:
- Animals evacuated due to the Caldor and Monument Fires in California
- An animal rescue and transport in Texas
- A large-scale community cat program in Maui
- Animals rescued from a hoarding case in Texas
- Cats rescued from a hoarding case in Indiana
RedRover is funded solely by private donations and grants so relies completely on the generosity of others. These donations and grants help save animals’ lives and keep families together.
