Paws for Pints Party Featured Local Collaborations

Sacramento, CA – Tonight, RedRover celebrated 30 years at their “Paws for Pints” event and reflected on special moments over the decades, local and national collaborations that have assisted the lives of thousands, and their goals moving forward. At the end of the evening, Sactown Union brewery donated $1 from each pint purchased to RedRover’s lifesaving programs.

“We were so excited to celebrate this milestone with the Sacramento community, local nonprofits and friends and family. While RedRover has evolved its programs over the years, we stay steadfast in our commitment to helping animals and their humans when they need it most and strengthening the human animal bond for 30 more years.”

Because RedRover values collaboration, they invited five other community organizations they’ve worked with to join them at the event. Attendees were asked to bring much needed supplies so that they could be entered into a contest to win raffle prizes. The organizations who participated and supplies collected include:

“WEAVE is thrilled to partner with RedRover. Their groundbreaking work in addressing the impact of pet safety on a victim of domestic violence’s decision and ability to leave a violent relationship continues to inform best practices in the areas of both safe shelter and animal welfare. WEAVE is grateful to RedRover for awarding the agency a SAF-T grant that is allowing us to provide safe shelter to families and pets. It is a critical step in eliminating barriers for survivors.

Three decades of memories were featured in a slide show highlighting RedRover’s efforts over the years to provide emergency sheltering, disaster relief services, financial assistance and humane education through their three programs, RedRover Responders, RedRover Relief and RedRover Readers.

Sacramento SPCA brought a sweet adoptable dog who received plenty of attention and interest in being adopted.

Dawn Foster, Director of Marketing & Communications for Sacramento SPCA said, “We believe that strong bonds between people and pets make for stronger communities – that’s why the Sacramento SPCA is proud to partner with RedRover and celebrate their 30 year commitment to helping keep pets and their people together for life.”

Throughout the evening attendees won great raffle prizes donated by the following: Sacramento Kings, Wag Hotels, Folsom City Sanctuary, Sactown Union, Chocolate Fish Coffee, Pet Food Express, Dogs Drink Coffee, RedRover and more.
