Meet Chester!

From the moment Daniel found Chester, a fluffy orange cat, the two were inseparable.
“Chester is my everything. I’ve never spent more than one night away from him his whole life. He’s the reason I’ve kept going in life when I didn’t think anything was worth it.”
Chester had been treated in the past for urinary tract issues, and doting cat dad Daniel kept a watchful eye on him. One night, Chester’s symptoms became more concerning, and Daniel rushed him to urgent care. Because of Chester’s ongoing urinary issues, his veterinarian suggested a perineal urethrostomy (PU) procedure, as well as a cystotomy to clear his bladder stones.
While their vet offered a generous discount to help pay for Chester’s surgeries, Daniel was still left to figure out how to pay for the rest. After the cost of Chester’s previous vet visits, Daniel’s rent was past due and his budget was stretched thin, but he was determined to make sure nothing stood in the way of Chester’s care. After fundraising and being approved for a RedRover Relief Urgent Care grant, Chester’s surgeries were successful and he came home to Daniel to rest and recover.
