Crisis Relief Grants can help pet owners pay for vet care, temporary boarding or transportation
SACRAMENTO, CA (June 30, 2007) – United Animal Nations (UAN), a national animal protection organization based in Sacramento, California, is offering financial assistance to help victims of the Angora Fire care for their pets.
UAN’s LifeLine Crisis Relief Grants can help fire victims with expenses for the following:
- Veterinary care to treat injury or illness caused by the fire
- Temporary boarding
- Transporting the animal to a temporary living situation
LifeLine Crisis Relief Grants are intended to help individuals who have suffered a devastating personal disaster and lack the financial or physical resources to care for their pets. The grants typically range from $100 to $500 depending on the purpose and the situation. To qualify, animals must be spayed or neutered.
“When pet owners lose their homes and everything they own in a fire, they often do not have the resources to care for their beloved pets,” said UAN President & CEO Nicole Forsyth. “Through our LifeLine Crisis Relief Grant program, we hope to relieve the Angora Fire victims of the stress of meeting their pet’s immediate needs so they can focus on rebuilding their lives.”
