Meet Wasabi

“Wasabi is pain-free, thanks to you!”

Two-year-old tuxedo cat Wasabi had been born outside, but he quickly embraced life with humans when Brianny and her family took him into their home.

One summer morning, Brianny noticed that Wasabi was having difficulty eating his breakfast. When she took him to the veterinarian, Wasabi was diagnosed with stomatitis, a condition causing painful inflammation in the mouth. To relieve the discomfort, Wasabi would need several teeth extracted.

While Brianny knew that the procedure was the right choice for Wasabi’s comfort and health, she also knew that the surgery’s cost would exceed what their family could afford. When she began researching sources of funding to assist with the extractions, the local humane society told her about the RedRover Relief Urgent Care grants program.

When Wasabi was approved, he underwent surgery and came through it like a champ! After a few weeks of soft food, Wasabi got back to his usual adventures with his family and his cat brother.
