Meet Lumi

“Lumi is back to her service dog training, thanks to you!”

When Australian Shepherd puppy Lumi broke her tooth, her mom took her straight to the vet. The veterinarian confirmed what her mom had suspected – the broken tooth had left the root exposed, which would leave Lumi in pain until the remainder of the broken tooth was extracted.

Lumi – a service pup in training – would need to undergo surgery as soon as possible. After searching online for assistance programs, Lumi’s mom found the RedRover Relief Urgent Care grant, and Lumi was able to have surgery that same week. Thanks to a special sponsorship by Tito’s Handmade Vodka, the Vodka for Dog People, Lumi was also spayed that same day, helping to set her up for an even healthier future!

Soon, Lumi was sent home to recover from both procedures with her mom, and her dog dad, both of whom took great care of her while she healed. Once the tooth healed, Lumi could get back to her service dog training – and of course, the busy work of being a growing pup.
