June 4th, 2025
By Katie Campbell, President and CEO –
Springtime continued to be a busy – and productive! – time with the team attending multiple conferences and providing several Don’t Forget the Pets (DFTP) in-person workshops and guest presentations. Between March and May, team members were in 6 different cities from the East Coast to the West Coast and all together trained/presented to more than 400 individuals on how to support pets and people in crisis.
Highlights include:
It’s pedal to the metal for us here at RedRover, and it’s the excitement for this work that keeps us going! We are so appreciative of those individuals and organizations who come to us with that “hesitant enthusiasm” – you know, the folks who want to create a pet housing program but have their list of questions. We get it, creating a pet housing program can be hard (and a little scary), but we’re absolutely here for it!
Now, about halfway through the final year of our 25 by 2025 campaign, we have no plans of slowing down! We’re heading to Dallas, Texas, for a DFTP workshop in June and planning more workshops in three additional cities. Plus, we’ll be joining at least two more conferences this year – National Organization for Victim Assistance (NOVA) and National Coalition Against Domestic Violence (NCADV) to come together with old friends, and make new connections with pet-friendly advocates for survivors.
Thank you for joining us in keeping more pets and their people safe and together.
