We’re excited to share that three new RedRover Readers teaching guides are now available in Spanish, thanks to our partnership with Forest School in South Texas! These new translations mark an exciting step forward in making our youth programs more inclusive and accessible for Spanish-speaking educators, students, and families.
Forest School is an innovative educational institution that emphasizes outdoor, nature-based learning. Through immersive experiences in natural settings, students explore environmental science, sustainability, and empathy while building practical skills and a lasting connection to nature. Our partnership combines RedRover Readers’ animal-centered stories with Forest School’s hands-on, nature-based approach to spark compassion, perspective-taking, and a deeper appreciation for all living beings.
The translated teaching guides – Bird Boy by Matthew Burgess, Goose’s Story by Cari Best, and Each Living Thing by Joanne Ryder – are part of this collaborative effort. They foster empathy through meaningful storytelling, reflective discussion, and interactive activities that now reach a broader audience.
These guides are a key component of our RedRover Readers community partnerships, designed to connect with diverse communities through culturally responsive and engaging educational resources.
We invite you to bring these impactful stories to your classroom or community space – now en Español!
