Fluffy, orange tabby kitten Miles became a cherished member of Mikayla’s family from the second she rescued him. Kept company by two cats, a bunny, and a dog, Miles brought a new, bubbly energy to his four-legged siblings:
“Miles is a light to our household. Before the hernia got bad, he was playful with our other rescues, bringing out the ‘kitten’ in our older cats that we haven’t seen much of. He’s always doing something goofy and is extremely playful with our service dog as well.”
Soon after they rescued him, Mikayla and her family learned that Miles had been born with a hernia that became progressively more painful as he grew. Eventually, they knew that Miles was in too much pain, and scheduled a date to have his hernia surgically repaired. Mikayla got to work applying for grants for Miles’ surgery, and she came across the RedRover Relief Urgent Care grant. After his successful hernia repair, Miles returned home to his family, and could hardly wait to start playing with his two feline siblings again.
Thank YOU for making sure beloved pets like Miles can have zoomies for years to come!
