While you wouldn’t know it from her ear-to-ear grin, sweet pitbull Janie had a rough start to life before being adopted by Ana. Janie had been removed from an abusive home by the animal shelter, and despite her loving nature, she ended up on a euthanasia list. Luckily, experienced animal lover Ana adopted her and her new life began.
As if sweet pup Janie hadn’t endured enough already, Ana noticed two growths on Janie’s body. While the growths weren’t cancerous, one had burst and become badly infected. To treat the infection and prevent it from happening again, the growths needed to be removed.
While she had done everything in her power to keep Janie up to date on all her preventative care, Ana knew she would need some assistance for the growth removals. Living with a severe spinal injury, Ana was unable to work and lived on a very tight budget. Despite her financial difficulties, Ana was dedicated to providing the best care possible for Janie and her five other pets. Luckily, a RedRover volunteer told Ana about the RedRover Relief Urgent Care grants program. Janie’s growths were successfully removed, leaving her more comfortable, and leaving Ana with the peace of mind that they wouldn’t become infected again.
Your support means that more stories like Janie’s can have happy endings!
