Over my almost nine years at RedRover I’ve had the sincere pleasure to work with some pawesome organizations, in both the human and animal services worlds. And I especially appreciate the opportunity to work with organizations who, like us, have a paw in both of these spaces.
Based in Tempe, Arizona, Lost Our Home Pet Rescue serves both the people and pets in their community by providing temporary care for pet owners facing hardship, offering a pet food and supply bank, and supporting two local domestic violence shelters with resources and consultation to house pets on-site.
I recently attended Lost Our Home’s annual Sit. Stay. Brunch event to accept the Pet Excellence Champion award on behalf of RedRover, in recognition of our efforts to keep pets and the people who love them safe and together. And, I have to say, it was one of the best (and most fun!) events I’ve attended in a long time! From the adoptable dogs on the runway, to the live auction, to hearing the personal stories of the impact that Lost Our Home has had on their community, it was a simply wonderful day celebrating the impact we can have when we work together.
Although we were the ones receiving the award, it was an honor to celebrate Lost Our Home and their transformative work in their local communities and beyond! So big thanks to Lost Our Home for recognizing us and for being such a wonderful partner to us. We really are better together.
