Michelle and her parents adopted Ruby, a fluffy little maltese, in late 2019. From the moment she saw Ruby, Michelle knew that she wanted to give Ruby “the love and care she deserves.” Ruby has been a beloved member of the family ever since. Ruby brought joy when the family needed it most — through Michelle’s mom’s battle with cancer, and Michelle’s own battle with anxiety and depression.
About one year after Ruby came into their lives, Michelle and her parents became ill with COVID-19. Ruby needed to be safely boarded while the family recovered, and due to financial hardships the family was not able to cover her boarding costs. That is when Michelle reached out to RedRover for help.
Thanks to our generous supporters, we were able to cover Ruby’s 21-day stay through an Emergency Boarding grant created specifically in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Now recovered, Ruby and her family were reunited on New Year’s Eve, just in time to ring in the new year — happy, healthy, and together.
