November is Canada’s Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and with support from the Animal and Interpersonal Abuse Research Group at the University of Windsor, the Canadian Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council, and Purina, we are raising awareness about the link between animal abuse and domestic violence.
You can help! Download and share this poster with hairstylists, veterinarians, and others who may be the first to hear about abusive relationships.
We are also partnering with SafePet Ottawa to offer the first Safe Housing grants in Canada (starting in Ontario) to help domestic violence shelters there become pet-friendly!
