When teachers like Susan Kosko, a Reading Support teacher in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, use the RedRover Readers program, they see amazing things happen.
“My students learn valuable lessons from your books,” Susan tells us. “They approach challenging subject matters in an age-appropriate manner. RedRover Readers provides teachers with the tools to address animal cruelty in a kid-friendly manner.“
Susan has used several RedRover Readers books with her students on a monthly basis since taking the training, including Buddy Unchained and Max Talks to Me.
“[The students made] comparisons to how children bully other children and how the children in Buddy Unchained were bullying Buddy.”
Susan has noticed her students “demonstrating kindness toward one another and sharing the importance of treating animals and people with respect.” Through these “little comments and actions,” Susan sees that the students are beginning to internalize the lessons.
“These are my favorite moments,” Susan shares. “Thank you for providing these books!
