When Karen’s service dog Flea became ill and stopped eating, she knew she would do whatever it took to get him the treatment he needed. Flea was always there for her in time of crisis, and now she was determined to do the same for him.
Once it was discovered that Flea had a severe dental infection and would need over 20 teeth extracted, Karen didn’t know where to turn. Her disability prevented her from working, and she did not have the full funds required to get Flea the surgery he desperately needed. Karen applied for a RedRover Relief Urgent Care grant, and with our funds Flea was able to have surgery the very same week.
Flea is now twenty-two teeth lighter, but back to his healthy and happy self. Karen says, “I can’t thank you guys enough, you helped save my little man’s life. Without the help I received from you I would not have been able to save him.”
