Beanie is a beloved indoor cat who had a life-threatening misadventure. After the kitten got caught in a hunter’s snare, support from caring people like you saved her life.
The adorable tabby was just a tiny kitten when a compassionate family found her under a trashcan during a ravaging winter storm. They took her in, where she immediately bonded with the children. Beanie and the kids share such a special bond, they feel like they’d be lost without each other!
One day, a sneaky outdoor adventure went awry when six-month-old Beanie got her foot caught in a hunter’s snare, and it took her days to get loose. When she finally freed herself and found her way home, her foot was badly damaged. The snare had cut off circulation, and her paw was black and blue. Her family rushed her to the veterinarian, who told them Beanie had to either lose her foot, or her life.
Beanie’s family was struggling to make ends meet, and they couldn’t afford the cost of her care, so they contacted RedRover Relief. Thanks to the compassion and generosity of caring people like you, RedRover provided Beanie’s family with a RedRover Relief grant that gave her the lifesaving surgery she needed.
Beanie recovered, even if she did feel a bit silly wearing the “cone of shame.” She’s now doing well with her beloved family, back to sleeping and cuddling with the kids and following them everywhere they go. Did you know that having three legs is just as good as having four?
