RedRover Responders stands at the ready to provide animal emergency sheltering assistance for animals displaced by the Arkansas and south-central United States tornadoes. Here is a list of currently available animal emergency shelters and resources.

Resources for pet owners

Sheltering and/or veterinary care

• Faulkner County S.P.C.A – They are staged at the First Baptist Church in Vilonia.
• RedRover Relief: Financial assistance grants for emergency veterinary care. Applications accepted online.
• Maumelle Animal Clinic (sheltering animals from Mayflower Animal Clinic)
• Vilonia Animal Clinic and Mayflower Animal Clinic (accepting patients at Mayflower City Hall) will be serving as triage centers for the area animals.

How to help/Donations needed

Central Arkansas Rescue Effort for Animals (CARE) is accepting donations. A recent message on their Facebook page states:

CARE’s Paws In the Pantry is on a mission delivering food this morning to help pets from last night’s tornado’s.
Please make a donation to help us continue to offer this support to the Arkansas community in need!

Donations needed/How to help

• The Tupelo-Lee Humane Society shelter is full and desperate for foster homes for moms and babies (cats and dogs).

  They also need:
  Crates of all sizes
  Purina Puppy Chow
  Purina Kitten Chow

• Salvation Army-Tupelo – (662) 680-2769, salvationarmy.org– Donations of water, sports drinks and individual snacks can be dropped off at its Carnation Street headquarters.
