Even service dogs need help, too

Sarge is a service dog who provides emotional and physical support to Joshua, a disabled veteran who served in Afghanistan.  When an accident left Sarge’s tail badly injured and in need of surgery, Sarge was now the one in need of support. 

Unable to work due to injuries sustained in combat, Joshua did not have the funds to pay the entire cost of Sarge’s surgery.  Joshua was determined to get Sarge the care he needed, so he turned to RedRover for help. With the assistance of an On-Call Angel, we were able to provide a RedRover Relief grant and Sarge was able to get the surgery he desperately needed.

Today, his tail has fully healed and Sarge is once again able to provide support for Joshua.  Joshua says “I appreciate everything your organization has done to help Sarge. We thank you very much!”
