Leili Khalessi, RedRover Marketing and Communications Manager, tells us a little bit about herself, her furry friends and why she loves working at RedRover!
Q. What song best describes your work ethic?
That’s easy – “Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger” by Daft Punk! To me, it’s about continually learning and improving. It’s a reminder to keep going, no matter what.
Q. What is your favorite thing about working at RedRover?
I have the most supportive, passionate and dedicated co-workers in the world – and they all care about helping animals, like I do! Knowing that I can use my talents to make animals’ lives better is important to me, and having such an amazing team makes our work even better.
Q. Do you have any furry family members?
Yes, two: Ms. Kitty is a petite black cat who will be celebrating her 16th birthday next year. She can be really sassy, but is a sweetheart once you get to know her. She always wants to know what you’re eating! Ms. Kitty is still really fiesty, despite her age.
Jack is a two-year-old German shepherd who was rescued moments before he was going to be put down at the shelter. My boyfriend and I adopted Jack from his foster family over the summer, and our mission is to show him tons of love and make sure he has a good life. He’s my best buddy! I’m so thankful that I get to take him with me to work.
Q. What is Jack’s favorite thing to do at the office?
When Jack comes to RedRover’s office, he loves playing with his best friend, a Chihuahua named Pippa. He likes coming to meetings so he can visit with all of our staff members. In between meetings, you can usually find him cuddling up with his favorite toys (check him out on RedRover’s Instagram!).
Q. What other things do you like to do outside the office?
I really enjoy cooking. Shopping for wonderful food and trying new recipes brings me a lot of joy. I especially love having people over to share these meals with – spending time with family and friends is very important to me.
Q. What would your 3 most important pet safety tips be for new pet owners?
