Take action to make sure you don’t miss critical animal information!
Google has recently rolled out a new feature of Gmail that will separate incoming emails into categories: “Primary,” “Promotional,” “Social,” “Updates” and “Forums.” Categorized emails will be filtered into different tabs so you only see certain types of emails in your Primary inbox. Unfortunately, even though we are a nonprofit organization, RedRover emails may be routed into the Promotional tab where it is possible that you might miss the urgent, lifesaving information you’ve asked to receive.
Luckily, there is a simple, two-second step you can take to ensure that you receive the crucial information you need to stay connected with RedRover’s lifesaving community to help animals in crisis:
Over the next few weeks, as Gmail phases in these new tabbed inboxes, be sure to check your Promotions inbox to double check that you still receive RedRover’s emails and follow the instructions above to put us in your Primary inbox.
If you haven’t received the Gmail inbox update, watch this video from Google to see what it looks like:
You can also watch a video from Social Media Examiner on how to move an email out of your Promotions tab into your Primary inbox:
If you have any questions, concerns, or other comments, please don’t hesitate to send us a message at info@RedRover.org. We are more than happy to help you through the process to transition your Gmail inbox to a place where you can continue to learn about RedRover’s lifesaving efforts and how your support brings animals from crisis and into care.
