Shaggy has been a part of Tonya’s family since he was a puppy. When Tonya noticed Shaggy acting strangely, she immediately took him to the vet. There, it was discovered that Shaggy had kidney stones and two severe ear infections. Shaggy urgently needed surgery, but after spending her savings and rent money on vet bills, Tonya was unable to afford the entire surgery cost. She reached out to RedRover and we were able to quickly provide a RedRover Relief grant so that Shaggy could get the surgery he needed. Shaggy is now happily recovering at home with Tonya, who wrote RedRover an update after the surgery. She said, “Thank you so much for your help. Shaggy is feeling better every day; it makes me so happy to see him get back to his playful self. Shaggy and I think ‘paws down’ you are the best!”
