SACRAMENTO, CA (July 1, 2013) – RedRover® announced today that it has been honored with a prestigious 2013 Top-Rated Award by GreatNonprofits, the leading provider of user reviews about nonprofit organizations.
“We are proud to be named a Top-Rated Nonprofit for the fourth year in a row,” says Nicole Forsyth, President and CEO of RedRover. “We share this honor with our supporters: Our mission of bringing animals from crisis into care could not be achieved without them.”
The Top-Rated Nonprofit award was based on the large number of positive reviews that RedRover received – reviews written by volunteers, donors and community members. “It really is a testament to our efforts to help the animals that our supporters want to share their experiences on a platform like GreatNonprofits,” Forsyth added.
RedRover’s work to bring animals out of crisis includes financial assistance to care for animals in life-threatening situations through its RedRover Relief program. “RedRover was essential in saving my dog’s life!” wrote Jennifer, a RedRover Relief grant recipient. “She had an intestinal blockage and received the immediate care she needed with help from RedRover. Thank God for angels like RedRover!”
While the Top-Rated Awards run through the end of October, RedRover was part of the inaugural group to qualify for 2013.
“Savvy donors want to see the impact of their donations more than ever,” said Perla Ni, CEO of GreatNonprofits. “People with direct experience with RedRover have voted that the organization is making a real difference.”
Being on the Top-Rated list gives donors and volunteers more confidence that a particular nonprofit is a credible agency. The reviews by volunteers, members and those that received assistance from RedRover show the on-the-ground results of this nonprofit. This award is a form of recognition by the community.
