Eight-year-old Pomeranian Bella lived a joyful life with her dad Matthew and three cat siblings.
“Bella is so full of energy and loves her tennis ball. I can’t imagine life without her. She loves to cuddle and claps her hands together when she wants cuddles.”
One day, Matthew noticed Bella was not her usual bouncy self and took her to the emergency vet. There, she was diagnosed with pyometra, a serious infection of the uterus for which she would require surgery. While the vet gave Bella antibiotics and pain medication to keep her comfortable, Matthew knew he would need to find help to pay for Bella’s surgery. He was currently unemployed and had spent his emergency savings taking Bella to the emergency vet, but luckily, the local shelter told him about the RedRover Relief Urgent Care grant.
After they were approved for the grant, Bella had a successful surgery and was sent home, getting lots of love from Matthew while she healed up to get back to chasing tennis balls.
Thank you for making sure beloved pets like Bella can stay with the people who love them!
