While the 25 by 2025 campaign has ended, our work to help survivors and their pets escape abuse has not. Through the Purple Leash Project, Purina and RedRover are helping create more safe spaces for abuse survivors and their pets, with the goal of providing one million safe nights by the end of 2030.
The Purple Leash Project has expanded its scope to not only award grants to domestic violence shelters, but also animal shelters!
These grants of up to $60,000 can provide pet-friendly renovations, such as on-site and now off-site housing solutions, outdoor relief areas, veterinary care, and essential supplies to help keep people and pets together when they need each other most.
We recognize that expanding the criteria for Purple Leash Project grants will enable more custom pet housing programs to be created across different nonprofit organizations working to maintain the human-animal bond for survivors and their pets.
You can help us spread the word by following RedRover on social media and sharing our Purple Leash Project posts and reels on Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
