Have you been thinking about becoming a RedRover Responders volunteer, but aren’t sure what type of deployment may be the best fit for you? Though all of our deployments have similar requirements, like the need for flexibility and a sense of humor, there are variables that may make one over the other your first choice:
Help provide direct care for animals in need. You’ll feed, water, clean cages, and provide walks and enrichment. Occasionally, you’ll help set up a temporary shelter by putting together crates, panels, and supplies.
This program builds safe enclosures for family dogs that live outside for a variety of reasons. Volunteers will put together fence panels, a canopy for shade, and a new dog house which greatly improves the quality of life for pups in this program. We also provide fun enrichment items like squeaky toys and delicious chewies!
Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return is a program to support the health of community cats. As a volunteer on a TNVR deployment, there are a variety of different tasks you may help with such as trapping cats, administrative work, transporting them to the spay/neuter clinic, and caring for them post surgery.
During our wellness clinic events we offer free vaccines, spay/neuter vouchers, or assist with multi-day spay/neuter clinics. Volunteer roles include everything from helping with registering, drawing up vaccines, paperwork, and helping animals recover after surgery.
Alongside Greater Good Charities, we help create pet housing spaces so survivors of domestic violence can stay safe and together with their pet family members.
