Meet Prince

“When a urinary blockage threatened Prince’s life, you stepped up!”

Prince, a handsome and dignified grey cat, always appeared inquisitive as he watched the world around him, focusing on subtle movements with his big ears and piercing green eyes. Kristen, a single mom with a teenage daughter, described Prince as “absolutely everything” to her and her daughter:

“We’ve had him since he was four weeks old. He was a rescue… He has been with us through some life changing experiences and has given us comfort… He is spoiled to the max!”

When Prince began urinating outside of his litter box, Kristen knew something was wrong. She took him to the veterinary hospital, where he was diagnosed with a urinary blockage, an affliction that can quickly become fatal for cats. At the hospital, Prince was given a catheter as a temporary treatment, while Kristen began rushing to figure out how she would pay for the surgery to save his life.

While searching online for resources, Kristen found the RedRover Relief Urgent Care grant, and quickly applied for Prince’s care. Soon after, their application was approved, and Kristen and her daughter breathed a huge sigh of relief when Prince woke up from surgery.
